Product Designer, Illustrator, & Aspiring Painter!

Hello! My name is Elizabeth Iannuzzi. I enjoy painting, hiking, and dogs! I have always been a creative person, from making movie trailers with my friends on my iPad when I was young, to painting in my free time, and to my design career. I made the decision to study product design as I love design to its core. During my time at Ryerson in the Graphic Communications Management program, I took a strong interest in graphic design. After graduation, I took a full time position as a graphic designer at a print house in Burlington. There, I got to work on a multitude of projects, including designing for social media, packaging, displays and more! I’ve always liked helping people through the use of design and wanted to learn the different ways I could do that. That’s when I found Sheridan’s Digital Product Design program!

Starbucks kiosk interface design

Starbucks Kiosk

For our User Experience Design: Fundamentals class, we were tasked to observe an everyday experience and suggest a digital intervention to improve and enhance a user's goal or objective. The experience I chose to observe consists of customers (people) entering a Starbucks and ordering their drink of choice through the barista or using their mobile app during the late evening.

My role in this project was as the researcher and UX / UI designer.

I found the issues from my research and observations and suggested a kiosk as a digital intervention. From this, I took to Figma and created wireframes, then designed the final branding and prototype.

Wanderers app interface design

Wanderers - Group Scheduling App

For our Prototyping and Workflow Methods class, we were put into groups and tasked to identify a people problem or challenge associated with the idea of scheduling. Our team decided to focus this project on scheduling and planning a vacation as a group. The problems we found are that finding common availabilities with friends is tough, agreeing on a destination for a trip with friends can become difficult, delegating a person to schedule a trip within a group of friends can be confusing, and keeping everyone in the loop and on the same page while scheduling a trip with friends is hard.

My role in this project was one of the UX and UI designers.

After the initial user flow was created in Whimsical, I took to Figma to start creating our prototype! I created our branding and main components. As a group. we split up the frame creation and prototyping flows between ourselves.
