Juwairihya (pronouned: jew-wear-ree-yeah) is a youth activist who hopes to fan the flames and inspire young Canadians to take charge of their future. During the 2021 Federal Election, Juwairihya interviewed with CTV News, Toronto Star and Globe and Mail, calling on political leaders to care about youth issues.
Her interest in UX Research sparked during the Simon Fraser University post-pandemic project where she interviewed Brampton youth on their insights. She further explored her interests through the Digital Product Design Program at Sheridan College.
Most of the time Juwairihya can be found on Spotify listening to all genres of music and podcasts from k-pop to crime junkie.
Make Voting Accessible with Elections Canada

In 2021, the Government of Canada announced a snap federal election during a pandemic. Canadians were concerned about how an election would play out during a pandemic with safety precautions and health guidelines in place.
I saw this problem as an opportunity to turn traditional voting into a virtual experience. With work, school and other sectors moving to a virtual model, I saw a chance to not only make voting more accessible but also get more Canadian youth to vote. Canadian youth make up the largest voting block but rarely show up to vote because of voter apathy. We need to meet young people where they are at which is online.
Scheduling a Tattoo Appointment

Scheduling a tattoo appointment can be a tedious process between the studio, tattoo artist, and client. Currently, there is no standardized method to schedule an appointment between tattoo studios or even individual tattoo artists from the same shop. Common booking methods range from emails to Instagram DMs to Google Forms.
My team and I created a tattoo scheduling app to simplify the booking experience for both artists and people getting tattooed by developing a platform that would streamline the online booking process improving organization and efficiency for first-time and experienced clients.
