Product Designer 👩‍💻, Musician 🎹, Doodler ✏️

Hey there! I'm a musician turned product designer in Toronto who strives to create intuitive and human-centered products. My journey began when I started re-designing the website for U of T's Department of Piano Pedagogy which played a huge role in my undergraduate experience. I was drawn by the creativity of the discipline and its ability to leave a lasting impact in only a few seconds. It sparked my curiosity on how I could design to improve people's lifestyles and create more inclusive communities.

I hope to grow as a designer with more hands-on experience in the industry and learn how to serve those who are often overlooked. I am always open to feedback and I would love to chat more about design, my journey (how a classical music nerd ended up here), or even my favourite places to eat in Toronto!

T&T App-Redesign

The popular grocery store has become a titan in the Asian community, but its digital presence was feeble in comparison. The current app caused confusion and misunderstanding among its customers due to poor interface design (cluttered layout, busy colours, small fonts), and failed to meet user needs.

In this solo project, I enhanced the interactivity of the app and decluttered its layout. I improved content clarity by using colours sparingly, introducing more white space, and increasing font and icon size.

Kumi Rewards

Kumi is a loyalty app that connects local businesses and their community. We gamify the experience of earning rewards with individual businesses, as we all as earning badges by completing culturally relevant challenges including non-monetary ways to participate.

As the artistic director, I lead the interface design of Kumi and laid the groundwork for a basic design system in Figma (style libraries, style guides, components) while supporting my teammates throughout the design process (research, brainstorm, design, iterate).
