UX/UI Designer and An Amateur Photographer
Hello,
I have a Fine Arts bachelor’s degree, but once I became aware of ‘Design’ as a career, there was no looking back. I have previously worked as a UX/UI designer for multiple companies. I am a self-taught UX/UI designer (learnt on the job). Even though I have been in the design industry for quite some time, I wanted to brush up on my skills and gain more knowledge in the field of UX. I am now interested in Product Design role, because that way, I get to be part of a product/feature from start to finish.
Photography is something I like doing when I have some free time. I like visiting new places and going on adventures.I strive to be good at what I do and always looking for ways to improve myself as a designer and otherwise.
Hello Fresh - Reimagined
Sometime in 2020, I saw an ad of Hello Fresh and thought to myself, “that’s a good concept.” The 10% entrepreneur in me thought of introducing this concept in India ;) But of course I didn’t.
Well, what I am getting at is that I was interested in ‘Hello Fresh’ as a product, and when I got a chance, I downloaded the app. As a curious UXer, I started analysing the app and found that the user flow could slightly be more efficient to help new customers convert to returning customers.
As a new Hello Fresh customer, the option of exploring recipes and adding them to the plan is a difficult process. The whole shopping experience for a new customer is a hassle.
I also thought about the colours of the app. Created a mood board and chose some additional secondary colours to add more zest in the app.
If I had more time, I would explore the ‘Cooking Instructions’ feature which was very interesting. I found that adding a few more features in it would make the app even more interesting.
My Role
Research, User Experience, Usability Testing, Visual Design
What I Did
Studied and analysed the app.
Came up with a new user flow aligning to the persona
Created Lo-fi wireframes and tested the screens.
Incorporated the test results and created mid-fidelity wireframes and tested again.
Created a mood board
Incorporated the feedback from testing again and created a high-fidelity screen.
Commu
Find new ways to engage with your community.
A capstone project that started with understanding the HMW question given by our industry partner. Through research and interviewing participants, we uncovered more insights and chose the most intriguing insight to explore further. “How Might We prompt more people to take importance in community engagement?” was our new HMW statement. Each group member shared their ideas and concepts of what the design of the app could be by coming up with lo-fi wireframes. Through the critique process, we applied feedback on each others’ process and agreed to bring Commu to life.
We received amazing feedback from participants on usabilitytesting.com. A few of the feedbacks were very insightful. Overall, the response was positive and the participants said that the app was very easy to use.
